Hey Nicole,

Thanks for your kind comment on my Glen Hansard review.

Believe it or not, I mentioned your description that he is a "very human" artist when I interviewed him on Saturday night.

He was very chuffed at that, really pleased at what you said, and gave me some good soundbites on that score.

I hope you don't mind if I use your observation in my article.

Thanks again,

Take care,

Ross.

Actually, The Producers was a film first and was later made into a musical. And they're getting ready to release a new film based on the musical version.

For some reason I had it in my head that The Princess Bride came out in '84. Oh well. Thanks for the heads up on that!

Yay for another pre-Thanksgiving dinner! I'm glad those of you who are left are keeping that up.

I still have not gotten a chance to see "The Producers," but I didn't realize they had a movie version already. I may have to seek that out as the next best thing to seeing the show live.

Is "The Princess Bride" really that old? [Checks.] Hm... IMDB is saying that it's from 1987, which implies that it has only attained the ripe old age of 18 and not 21. Poor film -- it can vote, drive, and get sent into war, but can't sip a fantastic red wine at a fancy restaurant. :-)
