I’ve been amusing myself the past couple days at work by perusing the archives of Passive Aggressive Notes and Pictures of Walls. It’s fun to see the ridiculous dramas and little observations of life one can collect.

Managed to upgrade to WordPress 2.5 without any major hiccups. There were some inevitable bumps along the way with K2 and WordPress as far as widgets vs. sidebar goes, but thanks to a helpful post on the support forums all appears to be running as it should here.
My other web achievement this weekend was porting whisperback over to a WordPress-powered blog, which will hopefully allow my friends to update their story more easily.

Despite the ridiculous amounts of work that I should be doing over next weekend, I will instead be playing the tourist in NYC with Stephanie. We’re catching a ride down on Friday, staying with a friend of hers while we’re there, and catching a ride back next Monday. Oh, and we’ve got tickets for the Bell X1 concert Sunday night. Win!

The Wonders of IR

Over break when I was fiddling with my phone while holding my laptop on my lap, I discovered that my computer’s IR port recognized my phone. This led to the immediate realization that I could take photos with my cell phone and transfer them to my computer without paying the phone company extra money–a useful skill for those occasions where one finds something that must be seen to be believed. Tonight I decided to try and send an .mp3 to the phone using the IR connection. The result? I can now use any song I own as a ringtone. Win!
