On the Stereo: Paddy Whacked Radio Archives
The Paddy Whacked Radio Connection focuses on Irish music, including rock, alternative, and acoustic. It broadcasts weekly from Medford, MA on WMFO 91.5 FM and online around the world via streaming webcast. The show is archived for a full week at WMFO's site. And I fill in here on the archives when Shawn needs it.
Please right-click and download the show rather than playing it off my site. I pay myself for this site's bandwidth, and if too much gets used by people streaming rather than downloading, I can't afford to have these files available for download.

Because time changes are evil, and I was lucky enough to catch a copy of the show before the servers went wonky, I'm offering the Stephen Hill special for general download. Give it a listen!
Friday, 1 September 2006
This episode features plenty of new music and new artists as well as old favorites. Amongst the highlights are two new singles from The Frames ("Falling Slowly" and "No More I Love Yous") and the broadcast debut of several songs from AMO.

Thursday, 17 August 2006
This show was an unusual drive-time spot for Paddy Whacked and broadcasted from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 17 August 2006. Here's what Shawn had to say about it:
"I'll be playing some Brand Spankin' new music from Pier Nineteen, La Rocca, Eric Eckhart and the Wasted Youth Orchestra while serving up the standard fare with a heapin' helpin' of The Frames, The Mary Janes, Mundy, Turn... and so on.
"See my profile for listening and archive details, as well as links to more great bands and artists."
Friday, 11 August 2006 - With Special Guest Paddy Saul
In this show, Shawn had an in-studio visit from Paddy Saul (website, MySpace), an extraordinary up-and-coming Irish artist. In addition to chatting with Shawn, Paddy played some all-new material from his upcoming album One Town Tasted. This show is an extra special treat, as it contains the very first broadcast of this material. Unless you're at Paddy's shows, this is the only place to find it.
Download the show: Part One, Part Two.
Friday, 4 August 2006 - The Frames Fiesta
The extra long show features more than the usual amount of music from the Frames (and non-Irish band, Calexico) to celebrate the NYC Summerstage show (available here) he saw the day before. Additionally, it features an interview with Simon Good (formerly of the Mary Janes) and Colin of the Fairplay Collective. Good times are had by all.
